Welcome to ArchiWorld.in (“we,” “our,” or “us”). We are committed to protecting your personal data and your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our platform, which connects talented architects and interior designers with top recruiters and firms in India.

By using our platform, you acknowledge that you have read and understood the terms of this Privacy Policy.

1. Data We Collect

To provide a specialized recruitment experience, we collect specific information from Job Seekers (Architects/Designers) and Recruiters (Firms/Companies).

A. For Architects & Interior Designers (Job Seekers)

Identity & Contact Data: Name, email address, phone number, and city/state.

Professional Credentials: Council of Architecture (CoA) registration number (if applicable), professional certifications, educational qualifications, and university details.

Portfolio & Career Data: Resumes, design portfolios, links to project galleries (e.g., Behance, Instagram, personal websites), skills (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, interior styling), expected CTC, and notice period.

Verification Data: Email ID or phone numbers (for profile verification).

B. For Recruiters & Employers

Company Data: Firm name, GSTIN (for billing), office address, website, and company description.

Contact Data: Name, work email, and phone number of the hiring manager or HR representative.

Job Listing Data: Details of the projects, roles, and requirements posted on the portal.

2. How We Use Your Data

We process your personal data based on your explicit consent for specific, lawful purposes:

Profile Matching: To showcase designer portfolios and resumes to relevant recruiters.

Verification: To verify email ID and professional claims to maintain platform integrity.

Communication: To send job alerts, application updates, and newsletter insights regarding the Indian design industry.

Billing & Transactions: To process payments for premium job postings or premium candidate features.

Legal Compliance: To comply with applicable Indian laws, including the DPDP Act, 2023.

Portfolio Hosting & Display: When you upload design portfolios, blueprints, 3D renders, or project files to our servers, we process and store these files to display them to potential employers as per your profile settings.

Intellectual Property & Licensing: You retain full ownership and copyright of all designs and portfolios uploaded to our servers. By uploading them, you grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license solely to host, store, cache, and display your work to registered recruiters on our platform. We do not claim any ownership over your creative work.

3. Data Sharing and Third-Party Disclosures

We do not sell your personal data. However, we share your data under the following circumstances:

With Recruiters: Job seekers’ portfolios and contact details are shared with employers when an application is submitted or if a profile is set to “Public”.

Service Providers: We partner with trusted third parties for cloud hosting (e.g., AWS), payment gateways (e.g., Razorpay), and analytics tools.

Legal Authorities: If required by law, court order, or government authority under Indian jurisdiction.

Recruiter Downloads: When a Job Seeker applies for a position or sets their profile visibility to “Public”, registered and verified Recruiters are permitted to download uploaded portfolio files (including PDFs, image bundles, and documents) to their local devices for evaluation purposes.

Transfer of Data Custody: Once a Recruiter downloads a file, that copy of the data is stored outside our server environment. While we bind recruiters to strict confidentiality terms, the processing of that downloaded copy is subject to the recruiter’s internal data handling practices.

4. Your Rights under the DPDP Act, 2023

As a Data Principal (the person to whom the data belongs) in India, you hold the following rights:

Right to Access: You can request a summary of the personal data we hold about you.

Right to Correction & Erasure: You can update inaccurate information or request the deletion of your account and portfolio data at any time.

Right to Withdraw Consent: You can withdraw your consent for data processing. Note that withdrawing consent may limit your access to certain features (like applying for jobs).

Right to Grievance Redressal: You have the right to register a complaint regarding data mishandling with our Grievance Officer.

5. Data Security and Retention

Server-Side Security: Because we host your creative intellectual property directly, we employ robust technical measures, including secure cloud infrastructure (such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure), end-to-end encryption (SSL/TLS) during file upload, and encryption-at-rest for stored assets.

Access Control: Access to your uploaded files is strictly restricted. Only verified recruiters logged into the platform (or the general public, depending on your chosen privacy settings) can access your portfolio.

Purging Upon Deletion: If you choose to delete your account, all associated media files, PDFs, and design assets stored on our primary servers will be permanently deleted within 30 days. Residual copies may remain in secure, encrypted backups for up to 90 days before being completely overwritten.

6. Grievance Redressal Officer

In compliance with the Information Technology Act and the DPDP Act, 2023, the details of our Grievance Officer are provided below:

Name: Pranav Singh
Designation: Founder
Address: 3rd Floor, F-2, Kalkaji, New Delhi-110019

We will acknowledge your grievance within 24 hours and aim to resolve it within 15 days of receipt.

7. File Upload Guidelines & Liability

Storage Limits: We reserve the right to set maximum file size limits (for example, 50MB per portfolio) to maintain server performance.

Content Restrictions: You agree not to upload portfolios that contain plagiarized work, copyrighted material belonging to someone else without permission, or confidential drawings belonging to past employers. We reserve the right to remove any file from our servers if it violates intellectual property laws or if we receive a valid DMCA/Copyright Takedown notice.

8. Post-Download Intellectual Property & Liability Disclaimer

No Control Post-Download: You acknowledge and agree that ArchiWorld has no technical or physical control over portfolio files once they are downloaded by a registered recruiter.

Platform Indemnity: We are not responsible or legally liable for any copyright infringement, plagiarism, unauthorized sharing, or misuse of your design work, blueprints, or portfolio assets by third-party recruiters who gained access through the platform.

User Discretion: Job seekers are strongly advised not to upload highly confidential drawings, working details, or un-watermarked high-resolution project files that they do not wish to be downloaded or stored locally by third parties.

9. Obligations of Downloading Recruiters

Recruiters who download portfolios and personal data from this platform agree to:

Use the downloaded files solely for recruitment purposes for the specific job opening.

Not distribute, sell, publish, or publicly display a candidate’s portfolio or design assets without the express written consent of the candidate.

Comply with the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023, by securely deleting the downloaded files once the hiring process is concluded or if the candidate requests data erasure.
